Last week I went for dinner with a former colleague, senior manager of team managers and we started our pleasant discussion with sharing what’s new in our lives. Holding such high level managerial position, he is skilled both in reading data, complicated reports, financial trends and analyses as well as “reading” people coming from various backgrounds. In other words – not an easy job, right? But how impressed I was once he started telling me about another journey of buying, moving in, furnishing, and decorating his new apartment. Oh Lord, how much he did already and how well did he plan to finish the rest. And then I said: “All of that is great, looks like you keep the world on your shoulders not only at work but also at home. How did you celebrate all these achievements?” He was silent. He said: “This is a very good question; I did not even consider asking myself that”. So here I would like to ask you – how do you celebrate your success – at home, work or otherwise? When was the last time you celebrated yet another regular day when you managed to accomplish pretty well so many things at home and/or at work?
